I am terribly sorry for being so inactive on the blog :( I totally forgot to upload last weeks look with my new hair for ye ;) ... I got a 'reverse ombre' done and I totally love it! For those of you that don't know: I'm a pure rock chick and I always had my hair mad and short. I wanted a change though so I grew it for ages and dyed it back to my natural self, blonde (Ok, more blonde than my natural self) but I got so sick of being so boring :D So now I feel a lot better and happier in my skin :)

Also, I combined some of my fave things --> lipstick, pink, purple, make up and of course PIGS :) Hope ye like!

Pastel Princess

Hello lovelies! As I did a super duper colourful look last week, I wanted to do something more girlie and 'me' :) I love pastels and I'm trying out different make ups for Christmas and New Year's ... something more wearable I guess :D

I used Dark Heart Designs shadows in 'Ghost Dog', 'Curse' and 'Sabrina' as well as 'It's my Life' lipstick (also by DHD) ... Also used my new lashes today! They are criss-crossed and they look really natural I think :) Defo worth their money!

First of all I have to apologize for being absent the last 2 weeks... I had a lot going on and then I was in London, which was MEGA fun! Sherlock madness all around!!! Tropical Island

This is Halloween, this is Halloween!

So, Halloween is MY day of the year (my birthday is secondary by far) so I refuse to let it pass just yet :D --> This is my "Sunday Activity" make up using lots of SFX and Dark Heart Designs shadows :)

I got myself a big tub of liquid latex last week and ever since I am absolutely hooked! I find it very easy to use and it dries super fast! I would defo recommend it for anyone who wants to get into SFX :)

Now I'm gonna chill the beans and cuddle up in bed with piggy Macbeth and watch Hannibal :) Toodles peeps!

Halloween Madness!

Evening lovelies! Here are a few bits and bobs from my Halloween :) I did my boyfriends zombie make up and the smiley mouth on my friend :) ... I also did 2 more make ups that night, which also turned out really cool :) --> Had I known how many people would ask me to do their make up, I would have dedicated the whole day to doing looks! Definitely learned something for next year ;)

Halloween Collab with Marjo

Yay, collab time with the amazing and fabulous Marjo Hakala from Own Special Place :) --> We really love Tim Burton and wanted to do a collab with his characters, so we picked Emily from Corpse Bride & Sally from Nightmare before Christmas and turned them into our own style! What do ye think?

It was so much fun doing the collab and waiting to see what the other had done. It's definitely something I'm going to do again, maybe even with Marjo ;)

Photoshoot time!

So I had another awesome Photoshoot with the super amazing Katharina from Fotostudio Lichtblick last week! We started off with the idea of a candy shooting, but as Halloween is just around the corner, we figured we would do something a little different ;) --> This is one of the portrait shots she took of me. I will be uploading more of the full and upper body shots as soon as I have them all!

Pantomime Jester :)

So, my mad obsession with Halloween has taken over again ;) --> Here is my latest Halloween look: Pantomime Jester :) ... I'm trying to gather ideas for this years fancy dress and really like this kind of idea... As much as I love Zombies and the likes, but a bit of change is always good! We'll see what happens :)

I used Eulenspiegel's theatre paints for this, which worked really well! I didn't want to do a really white face so I toned it down a bit :) Also, I finally did a dark maroon/black ombre lip which I insanely love! It gives my lips so much volume! <3 <3 <3 Hope ya'll like it!

Dark Romance

Evening Lads & Ladies :)

Here is today's look --> Dark Romance :) ... I got my new Sleek Make Up palette today (I have to buy them as soon as they hit the market) and I love it! The Vintage Romance palette is just sooo gorgeous! The colours are amazing, very shimmery and amazing shades!

I had to photograph this in the semi-dark, so the pics aren't that great. I usually take my photos earlier in the day when it's still bright because I don't use a flash apart for the eye close ups. It makes the wig shine too much and look plasticy, which I don't like. Unfortunatley I got home late today from college (which I started on monday, yay!) so that might happen a bit more often now, ha ha!

So guys, Halloween is just around the corner, and I figured I would post these two True Blood inspired looks again for some inspiration :) --> I did these for FACE by Emily's True Blood inspired contest and won with Eric Northman, which was awesome! Seeing as I did them in summer, I couldn't really go around wearing them, but maybe it's give you guys some inspiration for your look this year!

Grunge Barbie

Evening lovelies! Here is today's look for ye: A Grunge Barbie :) ... I was really in the mood for maroon lips and a green eye make up ... Don't know why, ha ha! I think autumn is inspiring me with all it's pretty colours!

I was at my boyfriends soccer match today and hung out with a few friends there. Unfortunately I think I got a little too chilly because I feel a cold coming on :( Poop! Oh well, off into bed now with tea & a good book :)

Creepy Jester Doll :)

The time has come: it is autumn and I am a happy bunny because we are coming closer to halloween :) --> Probably my favourite time of the year :) ... So how better celebrate it than by doing a funky jester doll make up, ha ha! I didn't use any DHD products on this as I wanted pressed pigments and face paints for this :)

On a 'not so happy' note; my heating is down :( I was almost out the door to my neighbour looking like this, but realized just in time :D That would have been a funny surprise! "Trick or treat in september please!" :D

New Wig :)

Hello my lovelies! Guess who finally came home from her hols and played with her make up?! ;) Meeeeeee! Ha ha! All jokes aside, I had a wonderful time with my family and I'm always happy to be able to go see them because they live so far away from me :( So a week "off" from make up wasn't so bad! I did lots of beauty stuff with my mum too while I was down there like getting facials, tinting eyelashes and shaping brows and such :) She was a beautician for years when I was little, but as she changed her career path, now I'm pretty much the only one who can bathe in her skills :) Hooray for my Mammy!

Anyways, enough blabber! I got my new purple wig which I was dying to try out as soon as I was back! I love it! Had to do a make up to match it of course ... The everlasting perfectionist in me will never die :D

Holiday funness!

Hello lovelies! As promised, here is a little snippet of my holiday activity :) I'm really enjoying being with my family and although the weather is quite crappy, I have plenty of thriller books to keep me entertained :) ... I'm also making a lot of time for my other favourite past time, which is cooking & baking! Everything ranging from pumpkin soup to plum crumble is on the menu :) ... My Mommy is happy she doesn't have to cook for a change and I'm happy to get my hands dirty in the kitchen! Works for everyone!

Yay, finally my Dark Heart Designs Promoter pack arrived and I got to do my first look with these amazing poducts ... And I really mean AMAZING!

Their texture is so fluffy and velvety and the colours are super bright and rich! They stay on unbelievably well with my eyeshadow base from ArtDeco too, so I am more than satisfied!

I used "Marry the Night" and "Siren's Song" for this look, two colours that immediately popped out at me. As you know, I love all bright colours and Siren's Song is just to die for! So bright and shimmery! --> Can you tell I'm in love?!

GoldieLux Birthday Look :)

Hello beauties! This was my birthday look from saturday --> I decided to try out new things and go with a bronzer instead of my normal blusher :) Quite strange to look a little more tanned and not as rosy as usual, but hey: You learn something new everyday!

I also ALWAYS wanted to try out a gold/silver look, as I would normally NEVER wear them together as jewelry, but I think as make up, it is quite do-able ;)

Make Over :)

So today was a fun day :) ... I did my friend's make up as she needs a new photo for her webpage and business cards for her photography business. It was a lot of fun doing her make up and practicing on someone else for a change!

Evening lovelies! So today, I got my hair done (those annoying roots us blondes tend to get, ha ha!) and decided that it was time for another 'natural hair' look :) --> I do love my bubble gum pink wig, but I have used it in all of the past looks and kind of ignored my real hair :( "Booo, you wh**e" to me! Ha ha!

Anyways, I also felt in the mood for some frosted purple make up, which I think goes very well with blonde hair indeed :) In fact, any kind of pink or purple make up I find very nice with blonde hair --> Ha ha! BARBIE style!

So it is that time again where I craze about tartan --> I must explain, tartan has been my love for sooo many years now and I simply must own anything with it's pattern :D I have bags, shoes, trousers, dresses, skirts etc. and even a rubber duck which I insanely love :)

Yesterday, my new tartan blazer arrived and I was yet again mesmerized by it's beauty :) So why not do a look to go with my new style item?!

This is probably one of my favourite eye make ups: a shimmery brown smokey eye matched with red brows! I absolutely LOVE this combo which is why I've done it before :)

So today I felt like getting all dressed up for, well, my look of the day, ha ha! You know I usually do rock chick kinda looks, or crazy make ups, so today I felt like transforming myself into a lady, ha ha! Yesterday's bridal shoot really inspired me too... I defo gotta think about doing a bride look or a few different ones :) So MANY make up ideas floating around in my head :)

For this look, I mostly used my Sleek eyeshadows and my loose Lanmei pigments from ebay... Absolutely LOVE those pigments!

Purple + Turquoise Eyes!

The time has come again --> My obsession with purple led to this look :D (Plus the inspiration of my awesome Flat Fitty hat) ... I tested out my new loose pigments from Ebay for this look and I must say, they hold fabulously wth my eyeshadow base from ArtDeco! I figured I would have a problem with them because they are loose, but that eyeshadow base is truly a trooper! I especially love having purple brows, don't really know why, ha ha!

Bubblelicious!

Pastel pink frenzy going on over here :) --> Finally got to try out my new wig from ebay (was so busy doing work for the contest & being sick that I didn't get time) but I LOVE it!!! I've been debating dying my hair this colour for a while now, but I just can't decide. So a wig is always handy to make up your mind and test out how the colour looks on you!

Plus, I got to do more "candy" make up, which I INSANELY love, ha ha! I especially liked the ombre lips! I've been wanting to do an ombre look for ages, so why not combine it ALL :) All I need now is a pink power ranger suit and I will be good to go :)

So this was the look I entered in FACE by Emily's True Blood contest at the weekend. I did a vampire Sookie and I'm pretty happy with the result :)

New Stuff Try-out ;)

Whoop, whoop! My new orders from Ebay arrived yesterday :) Got this amazing brush set after a recommendation from "theamazingworldofj" ... She advertised these brushes on her facebook page and said they were great and I can only agree! The price is stunning (€13,99 and no shipping) and the bristles are super soft and don't fall out!

The pigments are awesome as well! The colours are so striking and the hold brilliantly with my eyeshadow base under them! Can't wait to try out all the other colours! "excited.com" here, ha ha!
